The future is often uncertain - time always of the essence. Time consuming administrative tasks of book-keeping, statutory returns, subsidy forms, etc, compete with management planning, budgeting and cash flow projections, securing finance, finding milk quota, negotiating rent reviews - and then there's the farming!
